Damnit, Wake Up!

Okay, I'm calling my blog to awake from it's week-long slumber in the internet slug zone. First week of school has passed relatively quick, and well, let's just say that I'm a tad too afraid to face and conquer this semester. It kind of frightens and turns me off like how the horror film installment "Scream" kept me up from countless nights of sleep. Everything in the previous semester was more to the technical side of life, and this semester's to do with communication in it's entirety. Nothing is technical. It's just language, language, and english. Ahwells. Post-Monday blues are here again, and it ain't good. :/

Always flying high.

Let's see now. I've went for every morning prayer meeting last week. Was pretty good. But I missed Saturday's service PM. Woke up late. :/ Today I went down to Standard Chartered at ION to open my very first account in Standard Chartered. I finally researched and found one account that I could open. :D My dream bank to open an account with. :D Anyways, I took the longer way home today by going Choa Chu Kang on 190 before transferring to 966. I sat at the very last seat all the way in the back of the long bus and on normal roads, it was really bouncy. It's like as if the connector in the middle was about to rip and the rear carriage was going to flip the front one over. :/ Ahwells. And I've heard two variations for the pronounciation of ION -- eye-on and eee-on. :/ Which is right? I'd choose to go with the former because wasn't that what we learnt in our first chemistry class? hahah. Ahwells. School is starting tomorrow. Yawns. At first I couldn't wait to get back into projects. But now I'm starting to feel "sian" about it. Ahwell. Every Sunday, I'll get Pre-Monday blues. Mood swings? I doubt it. But ahwells.

Friendship, Friendshit.

Yes, it is fragile. The thin crust of factor that separates these two statuses is time. Because it is time that reveals the true character of a person to the other, and many times it produces nothing of value.

On another separate note, I think that maybe it is you who should wake up from your bloody idea. So what if it was a forced thing. It's better than going around flirting with a million guys despite being attached, and also calling everyone BFF. It is people like you who kill the true definition of a BFF. Stooopid Ah Lianxzxzxzx. Oops, there's only one. The only one that brings down the entire name for the population of chinese speaking/cursing teenage females.

And the last note. You bloody waste my money. I tried to find a way to get you out to get things proper with my property as an excuse. You freaking blew it. Not only that, you stopped replying despite an answer being expected. And yes, you're a desperate searching for friends and a big poseur. Yes, a big one. You're so desperate that you need to find strangers to follow you on the "big" day. And that's your way of meeting people. WHAT THE HECK? It may be normal in your case but it sure isn't with many people that I know of. You say you change. Oh yeah right. Still a BIG poseur. People who act cool and insists that a playlist like yours is cool are BIG losers trying to gain acceptance from the general people. I've met people like you before and I was afraid to say it to them, but I'm not to you. As I said, with time a true friendship will allow me to say out my true opinion and it is seldom anything that anyone would want to hear. And now I will say, I eff-ing regret even going out with you on day 2. And at first you weren't wasting my money. But now, yes you were. And just in case you're wondering, yes three strikes mean out.

Starbucks, Farbucks.

As what Shrek 2 showed, Farbucks. ): There's no starbucks in Toa Payoh. The nearest is at Novena but there's no way to bring it back home with the crazy and childish antics public transport companies are using to nab people who bring food into their premises. As what everyone would know, if you bring food or drinks in, they assume that you are about to consume it and will fine you for it. Even chewing sweets cost you $31.20 -- $30 for the silly fine, and $1.20 for the stick of mentos. SMRT & SBSTransit displaying childishness, no? Anyways, back to the subject, there's 2 Starbucks at Novena! One at United Sq, and the other at TTSH. ): They should move one over to Toa Payoh. :D Yums. heh. Toa Payoh only has Coffeebean. I don't like! >.< No offence to Coffeebean lovers though. :/ I want my Starbucks! ):

Okay.

I need to clean my Mac. It's eating Gigabytes without much installations. It's not lagging the applications much but ohwells. Feels bad to see so much gigs eaten up without knowing what is. Virus? Hope not. Apples are good fruits, they shoo doctors and thus should shoo viruses too. :/ maos. Ahwells. Today morning I went for Morning prayer meeting, and it was great as usual. Probably the best I've been so far. But y'know, it brings back memories. But shall leave those aside. Napped in the afternoon for a few hours, and then that was when I woke up to do some stuff, and got really down. So bad that I'm close to tearing, which I haven't in a long time. Well, I'll remember last Saturday's sermon and someone's blog post. It's not cold comfort, but it's more of reality with a real appreciative ending. Guess this year is a year of rejection, but I'll still go on. :D

The unavoidable kiss.

:O Holidays are ending in a week's time. And I've been blogging quite a lot the past week. Holidays have been boring, and nothing great achieved. Okay, maybe I have achieved a few extra kilograms in me from slugging and lazing around everyday without much exercise. Tsk. Maybe one day I'll become chubby. Anyway, one more week of holidays, and my timetable for next sem is totally weird. :/ But ahwells, here's a link to Crack The Shutters by Snow Patrol. Embedding was disabled so just clicky there. It's probably the first few times that I actually leave a video or video link on my blog. Hah. So yeah. The first time I heard it was on a happy but maybe disappointing day? It depends on how each person puts it. After all, multiplication is a good thing. And it still is. (: But yeah, one video here for a record.

Life. Is. Beautiful.

Or so it seems. Well, after exploring soundbooth on my CS4, i just realised there are sounds that can be edited and not just that, but in everything, there's something called the Director's Cut, and I have a tempting urge to get a better edit for my final project that is pleasing to the normal audience and not just something pleasing to the teacher or lecturer. But guess what. When the semester ended, I deleted all original footages because I wanted to gain space and I thought I wouldn't need it anymore. But I guess I'm terribly wrong. I want to make my own cut and at my own pace -- which will take up to 2 weeks -- and turn it into something that I like, unlike the rushed cut submitted after 3 days of editing. It's late for me to say all these now, but I guess that it will be a lesson learnt. Ohwells. This is life.

Chicken.

It is a universal white meat. It is the one and only meat where anyone of any religion (vegetarians are not considered) can come together to enjoy it. As long as prepared in a halal manner --like KFC-- people of all races can come together to have a feast and mingle about. A great creature created, and actually on the other hand, a poor creature. It is grown to be eaten. :/ Ahwells. (:

The Life?

I don't know what to say. I am just speechless. There are millions of young mothers out there. And before I receive angry replies on my tag board, let me say and enforce my stand that I do not discriminate teen pregnancy. In fact I kind of envy them. No one believed me when I said that I wouldn't mind being a Daddy at 16 or 17. But obviously, with a girl that you love, and not one from some fooling. Well, I don't have much to say actually. Sure, financing for the kid and lodging will be a great hassle, but I'm pretty sure that the joy of having a little one makes up for everything and somehow, things will work out, as I've seen in the many blogs. Ohwells. And actually, teen marriages aren't that bad as well. Sure, young and foolish. But if things are kept well with proper communication, I believe that the marriage will be as good as a marriage at 27. I mean look at the past. People married young and things turned out fine. Sure, policemen wore shorts in the past. But honestly, with proper understanding that is even lacking a few years into a marriage done at 27, things can turn out really good and blissful. It's just how well you grow up to be sensible enough to not be childish and quarrel over small stuffs that happened. Ohwells. I'll wish all those young couples with kids for a blissful life ahead! (: I'm already 18 and my life has turned out this way. But it's okay, some dreams are not meant to be fulfilled. After all, something like this happening to me while I'm in my current type of studies will bring out bad rumours and reputation that will last a lifetime. That is perhaps the flaw of my course. But as I said, some dreams --especially those from a young age-- should be kept under the bed. Maybe one day you will dig it out and realise that you could have done things a different way to achieve your goals and have happiness, instead of only focusing on doing something you like --but not as much as your original wishes-- for the sake of a good future and money. Which leads to another point. We all want to succeed in life for money sake's. We have all made a compromise in our life to do what would be better for us in a financial way for the future in a sense where we compromise to do something that we hope to get by with but still earning a decent amount. Everything is about money. If money didn't matter, I would follow my greatest dreams of having a kid now at 18, and be a bus captain. But with compromise for the sake of a reputable future, that dream will have to be boxed up and kept below my bed. Maybe someone else will open it up one day, take it, not have the financial bliss and reputation, but have a happy future. Good night people.

Third Letter.

I told the LTA, that if I ever have to send the third letter on taxis not wanting to stop anywhere along the stretch of Toa Payoh Lorong 2 beside my house, it will be nasty. In fact, I got close to having to send the third letter (though thats not the case here). See, the problem lies with the taxi drivers and LTA. Whether it was a communication error or whatsoever, they are LTA. They are supposed to be big, or so they make themselves to be. But taxis are not allowed to wait anywhere along the small southbound stretch of Toa Payoh Lorong 2 between the junction of Toa Payoh Central and Toa Payoh Lorong 6. They are allowed to do immediate boarding though (as claimed by the LTA in both email replies), and many have claimed to be fined by Traffic Wardens for immediate pickup/alighting without any additional waiting. And LTA claimed the taxi drivers will not be fined if they do as that. So who do I believe?

Let's bring this to both sides. Frequent readers would know that I greatly detest taxi drivers, though I frequently use them as I'm always late. But hey, with them cursing at me without me even cutting their lanes when I'm cycling or threatening me with their rev-ing, they are definitely a road hazard. Many can even turn aggressive on you if they deem you as uncooperative in giving them proper preferred routes or if you provide them with a route that is not in their favour. So that is the taxi driver's side.

Let's move on to the great biggie LTA. I was just watching a classic "My Best Friend's Wedding" at 2a.m. and I suddenly heard a weird drilling sound that lasted about 2 seconds. I paused the movie to rewind it and to see why they had it in the movie. And turns out, it wasn't there in the movie at all. So i paused my movie again, and looked out of my window. Workers were actually clanging stuff and trying to do something to the underpass entrance opposite my house for some barrier free project by the LTA, or maybe something else. This is the thing: You work late at night in hope that you don't cause inconvenience to people in the day. But at night, you work the noise away. For goodness sake's, Toa Payoh is not Orchard where you stick to doing work only at night. Just do it in mid-day or after 9 up till 11. You purposely start the works late at around 12 midnight and only end at around 2 plus. Isn't there a rule that everything in a household must be toned down after 10p.m. or something like that? It doesn't give you any excuse just because you are the LTA and because you are outdoors. You disrupt my movie, and also people's sleep! This construction has been going on for the past few months, although it doesn't happen every night. But hey, I want my peace. And I want you out of my life after 11pm. I'm even giving you an extra hour's grace!

So here's the two sides. Now decide, who's the bloody idiot here? Arrest me for accusations and not giving the government's "Right-of-reply", but come on. If I really get arrested and convicted, it just shows how irresponsible the government is, that punishment is a way to force-close matters that were screwed up by people they hired to run the "LTA".

Well, on the other note less aggressive and personal, holidays are boring. Everyday has been staying home, rotting, and watching my movie playlist over and over again. I haven't even been cycling much, and I really need to get it going again before I turn up to be two times the size that I currently already am. Yawns. Holidays are a drag. And so is school. And soon, NS will be a drag, work will be a drag. Basically, life is a drag. Urgh. I need to find things to do. :/ And actually, watching movies ain't that bad too. I watched "Made Of Honor" (bought it because I'm currently collecting the millions of movies I had watched with her) and noticed how Patrick Demsey pronounced Caramel differently from everyone that I know, and so I searched it and yeah, there actually is a sort of minor debate on it's pronunciation, just like the "multi" yada yada thingy. Caramel can either go "Care-Re-Mel" or "Kar-mul". Those are like the closest sounding words that I could string together to make it sound like the two ways of pronouncing caramel. But ahwells. Interesting. Kar-mul sounds nicer and cooler. tsk. And oh, I think that I have an addiction to cards, but I still love them. :D
