It's Been Tiring.

Well, my 2 weeks of holidays have been used up fast, with just a snap of my fingers. School ended on the 18th, church the next day, and Sunday was a rest day. Monday I still had a lil' slack in the afternoon, but the moment evening came, I was packed non-stop. On Monday evening was an outreach to China students at this dorm near Hort Park, and ended late at 11pm. Well, from that day I have been sleeping at around 4 or 5am, and waking up at 2 or 3 in the afternoon, ready to leave home for things to do. Tuesday and Wednesday was the same outreach thing, with the late nights spent doing preparations for stuff. Thursday was Christmas service followed by overnight prayer meeting, Friday was family gathering after doing some last minute Christmas shopping. Saturday was Year-End service followed by a midnight movie "Sherlock Holmes". Sunday had some discussions followed by a rushed grocery shopping for the Cell group chalet. Spent the night awake until 3am with the chalet preps, then woke up on Monday at 8am to meet Eugene to help him with video editing before rushing back to Toa Payoh for a haircut, went over to the chalet, had bbq and stuff, OCH walk, then slept from about 5am till 11am, then left the chalet at 130pm, reached home at 3pm, bathed and rushed down for IS project meeting, then home do prep for Zone Thanksgiving Service video until 4am, fell asleep until 230pm today, and then rushed over to church to do last minute preparations and well, everything wasn't as bad, but could have been better. And now, I'm home. Finally, I can start to breathe again. :D

It was really a jam packed holiday, but it was great. Especially the outreach and chalet. It was just great. If I could do this all over again, I would gladly do it all over again. True that I did not have much sleep, but wow. Memories of a million things formed just over a few days. Anyway, on a different note, if I said that I don't think about you at least once everyday, I'd be lying. Your lifeless messages to me are a constant reminder to how much of a jerk I was, and probably a huge noticeboard to tell me that I've lost you completely, forever. Anyway I wanted to post this video but the embedding is disabled, so here is an alternative. the original video's link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjMrxqo43RI
Well, I do not know what to say, and I wish I could turn things around.

Uh.

Let's see. Chanced upon pictures of a group which I shall not mention, skating from Orchard to Vivo City. It actually seems pretty easy. No offence to this group though. It really seems like something that we can all do, as an excuse to hang out and spend time --doing something out of the ordinary-- just creating memories and experiences that can be looked back upon. Ahwells. There's supposed to be an overnight-thing like cycling or bbq-ing this December holidays. Ohwells. Never mind then. March would have a big holiday for organising stuff. Anyways, about my life. My entire 2 weeks of term break is packed, and I don't even have time to research on my essay topic or to complete that irritating project. Maybe Sunday, but that is so urgh. Sundays are my slack days to clean up my room. :/ Ohwells. It's been raining a lot recently. Lovely. (: Was browsing through the photos for the volunteering team of Stan Chart Singapore Marathon 2008 which I was in, and my, what a shock. Some look totally different. But the memories... Oh so funny to think about them. Tired and worn out, camwhoring, sleeping, and all those nonsense. Would I rather run or volunteer? I would wish that I could do both. They are both torturous, but really good. hah. Ohwells. I should be sleeping now. :/ Nights then. (:

500th Post.

This blog is reaching 3 years old and this is my number 500 post. Ohwells. Let's see. I shan't rant about anything today. Shall talk about how my life has been so far. For one, I had many issues to be brought up, but I draft-ed it after writing it halfway. Well school holidays are here now, but it isn't really much of a holiday, is it? I need to complete a boring IS assignment which has no definite meeting date yet, and due on week one of school. Piled on top would be searching for a good essay topic to write on for my final essay assessment, and also mywritinglab, which is some kind of online english-improvement program. How nice. Hmm. And christmas is coming, I am absolutely caught up with stuff from the 24th onwards. ): I will probably go for a haircut straight after Christmas. Yes, my ears will be visible to everyone again. I'll get a clean look for the million people's cries to get me to cut my hair. And now, I have this craving to cycle over to Boat Quay to sit by the river, the area near Timbre. It has a great view of the Boat Quay shophouses, which mainly houses the Indian pubs. I remember being there almost 6 years ago. That place simple brings back memories. There are two kinds of memories in my life. One is the good ones and just that, while the other is also good ones, but the friendship or bond involved soured later on. Well, either way I still love to go back to the places where things happened, and will just try to imagine everything re-enact before me again. Many memories make me sad, probably because of how good it was. But memories are just that. I've always wished for a time travel machine. Not to change things, but to sit at one corner and watch the same memory being re-created over and over again. That, would be my life's wish. Memories, they are nothing but a ghost to remind you of how beautiful or horrible that particular part of your life was, while it lasted. And I wished frisyou lasted longer.

Actors and Actresses.

Reluctantly agreeing, I nodded my head slowly. She had been begging me to follow her to meet her group of friends for a month now. I've never really wanted to expand my current social network. Anti-social would be the best term that anyone can describe me as. Upon the meeting of her friends, one person stood out the most. No, she was not the prettiest. Neither was she the popular cheer-leader kind of girls. She stood out because of her desperation act to find out as much as she could from everyone. Yes, it is a desperate act. And as you've guessed it, is a result of being an outcast in secondary school and college. With her hanging around constantly, I lived with a bug buzzing around me ever since that first meeting. Irritating, yes. It is comparable to a huge pimple. Irritating, affects your ego, and also a great temptation to burst and terminate it.

Am I an aspiring writer? No. What I've just written is for primary school. If I could write I would have painted a better straightforward picture for you. Many times, it's best to just shut that gap close. Boasting and putting yourself over others due to force-gotten status is the worst move to gain respect or authority. Yes, you get it. But people follow out of fear instead of true respect for you. Stalin was a good example in this aspect of screwed up leadership. Yes, you may have had academic achievements but so what? I have it too! Toning down a notch would really be great for you and others. Jesus had his disciples/followers, but it does not mean that you have to have them as well. Your time is not there yet. Humble yourself for one of many things, and your time will come. The difference between you and me? At least I know that it's not time for me yet. Not everything is about you, and please, stop boasting. Because I can as well. But it won't bring this L1R4 6 pointer anywhere. Oops, I've boasted. Like how you do. Oh, whatever. -.-

Oh.

Let's see. I dropped out of Standard Chartered marathon at the 41st KM. Nahh, kidding. Well, all I can say is that it is torturous but rewarding at the same time. Everything went well for the first 10KM. I started to wear down after 10 at East Coast/Fort Road, and started to lose fuel by the 20th. By the 25th I was almost dead, and cramps came in around 30. Attempted to jog again, but cramps hit me almost immediately. So walked for the next 12KM up to 42. Then the 195 meters involved running/jogging for the finish line with millions of cheers from both sides, thus I forced myself to jog despite the cramps, and almost collapsed after passing through the finishing gate. 6hour 47mins according to gun time. I actually estimated during my first 15KMs that I could finish before 6 hours, maybe in the mid-stages of the 5th hour. But the cramps and lethargy came in, despite a million sachets of Powerbar Gel. :/ I was close to giving up once the cramps came in. Urgh. As to whether I would join it again next year, I don't know. It's quite a challenge for me, especially when I don't usually run. Ohwells.
